Lesson 1: Basic Rules and Surprise Lesson

Headmaster Donovan walked into the room for his first lesson in this class. He was excited to see how his class reacted to his lesson. He walked to the desk and began to fill out paperwork while waiting for the rest of the class to show up.

Luna walks into the classroom, caring her stuff in her arms. Looking around, and seeing no one else was here yet, she walked to the front, and got a seat in the middle-front row. She looked around waiting for her other classmates to show up, and while waiting, opened her textbook, ready to go to any page the Headmaster selects.

Donovan looked up to see one of the students then notices other students entering the room he stands up and walks around his desk and to his office and walks back down carrying cages one at a time down. One small one and one chest locked shut "Welcome to the first Defence Against the Dark Arts class. My name Is Headmaster Donovan" He pulled out a blackboard in front of the cage and chest and began to write on it. "For the first part of the day we will be explaining the rules of the class." He began to write on the board:

1. No antagonizing any creatures brought to the class for a presentation
2. Notes must be taken when needed.
3. All students must be suporvised when attempting a new spell.
4. Listen to all directions.
5. No copying other peoples homework. Points will be docked if you do this.
6. Have fun

Donovan turned away from the board and looked at the students. "Well what are you waiting for copy this down" He waited and then when they were done moved on to one of the cages after pushing the board aside, He took the sheet off the cage to reveal Quintaped "Can any of you tell me exactly what this creature is?"

Luna looks at the creature, taking in it's features in her deep, chocolate brown eyes. It had reddish brown hair, and five legs.... Suddenly, realizing what it must be, she raised her hand. I think its.. a Quintaped, she thought to herself.

Donovan looked around and a Ravenclaw first year raised her hand and said that it was a quintaped "Now. May I have a volunteer?"

Luna raised her hand instantly, wondering what she was voulenteering for.

Donovan waved her up and walked to the chest. "Now. You will find yourself facing your worst fear, but it is not actually the object of your fear, more like a duplicate." He unlocked the chest and let the boggart out. Knowing even though he didn't teach her the spell he could easily intervene.

Listening to his words, he saw as he opening the box, knowing that is must be a boggart. She had heard of them before, but knew no one can actually see their real shape. Coming out of the box, was a monster dog with three heads that lunged at her, but soon changed into a boy's dead body. Luna started to shake uncontrollobly as she saw the body, knowing who it was. Her brown eyes widened as she started to remember the memories she tried to keep locked inside herself.

Donovan walked in front of her and the dead body changed into himself. He pointed his wand at his boggart self and shouted "Riddikulus" The boggart started break dancing his way back into the chest. Donovan chuckled from the scene. He turned to face the class and said "Class dissmissed. You have no homework."
